Massage releases these toxins, thus it is important to drink plenty of water after a massage.  This will allow your body to flush the toxins out and ensure full recover from what ails you.

Massage when I'm sick??
You can recieve massage when you are suffering from a cold or minor illness, however please inform your therapist and be aware of a couple things.
  1. Massage speeds up your recovery from illness and will not lesson the symptoms.
  2. This will make the illness hit you harder, for a shorter amount of time.  You should have the luxury of 24 hrs following your massage to take it easy while this happens.
**If you are contagious PLEASE have the courtesy to reschedule your massage for a later date so you do not pass on your illness to your therapist.

Massage is not indicated (and will not be provided) if a person has advanced or untreated:
Anemia
Aneurysm
Crohn's disease
Cirrhosis
Emphysema/COPD
Diabetes
Diverticulitis
Fever
Herniated disc
Lupus (acute)
Shingles
Open wounds
Gout
Impetigo
Myocardial Infarction
Thrombosis
Osteoporosis
Psoriasis
Pregnancy (high risk OR in first or third trimester)
